It's Wedding Wednesday again! Let's talk about wedding regrets. The biggest fear of every bride is having wedding regrets! There is one big regret I have about the wedding, so I wanted to chat about it today so you guys don't make the same mistake.
We had a lot going on the day before the wedding. My mom threw a beautiful bridal luncheon, we had our rehearsal, and the rehearsal dinner. The only true regret I have from the entire wedding/wedding activities is how little I documented the day before the wedding!
I wish I had thought to take pictures of the details of the bridal luncheon my mom threw. She had it at a local tea shop in Fort Smith, AR and it was so sweet and girly and perfect. I also gave the bridesmaids their gifts at the luncheon, and I didn't take pictures of any of it! Of course we took some group shots, but I wish I had more photos. I'll insert some of the photos we did take, so you guys can get the vibe of it because it was adorable! If you're throwing a bridal luncheon for anyone soon, I definitely recommend having a tea party!
A HUGE regret is not taking photos at the rehearsal dinner. Everyone looked so beautiful, and we actually had our wedding planner do all of the details of the rehearsal dinner as well. It was basically a mini wedding reception and I wish I had more photos! There were place cards, and menus, and flower arrangements everywhere. I should have hired our wedding photographer to come to the rehearsal dinner. Daniel and I debated it, but ultimately decided against it because we just got so busy and kind of forgot. I loved my rehearsal dinner outfit, and Daniel actually had a custom suit made for the rehearsal dinner. The only pictures I have of Daniel and I were taken at his house right before we left. We didn't take any photos together at the actual dinner! Y'allllll!!! Like, WHAT! I actually regret this so much that I've already reached out to our photographer, and have decided to do a shoot for our one year anniversary and wear those same outfits!
Basically, document everything! Tell your bridesmaids and your mom to take tons of photos if you are having events the day before the wedding! I had so much on my mind the day before the wedding, and I was so excited that all my girls and family were in town, and for all the events that I just spaced. I even forgot to bring Daniel's surprise grooms cake to the rehearsal dinner!!!! Luckily, it was at his house, so we just ate it the day of the wedding at lunch while we were getting ready! HA!
I don't have a single regret from the actual wedding day, though! Thankfully! In my eyes, it was the perfect day and I would do everything the exact same if I could go back and do it again.
It's been 2 months now and I'm still so annoyed at myself! I'll let it go though eventually. I'm just being dramatic. Thankfully, I do have some photos, so that day isn't completely undocumented.
What do y'all want to see during upcoming Wedding Wednesday's? I have a few ideas, but I'd love to hear if you have a specific topic you want me to cover. I planned my wedding for about 14 months, so I'm basically a pro (jk jk jk).
See you next time!
