Happy happy Monday! Nelson (my pup) and I cuddled in bed all morning, and it was the best start to the week! He has some type of sore on his paw, so he’s been in a cone for a few days while it heals. Today, he finally stopped trying to lick his paw, so he’s been able to be cone free! YAY for Nelson! He’s so pitiful in a cone.

This weekend, Daniel and I did a bit of shopping! We both needed to get good heavy winter coats to make it through the DC winter. We’re assuming it’s going to be a lot different than the winters in Arkansas. While we were out, we both picked up a couple new sweaters! This neutral stripe sweater was one of them!

I love this sweater because it’s fun, but still matches everything. The best part of this sweater is that it’s only $20 from H&M!!! They actually have it in other colors, but I liked the gray scale version! (I’m just noticing online they have a light pink striped version of this sweater and I LOVE it! They didn’t have this option in store!) I paired the sweater with a corduroy black skirt, black tights, and black heeled ankle boots. It’s getting to be too cold to have bare legs with a mini skirt!! So tights are necessary! I actually love black tights, and I wear them as much as I can haha!

Okay, so I explained how to do this hairstyle on my insta stories yesterday! (@haileywilky if y’all don’t follow me!) I call this a pull through braid, but I’m not sure what anyone else calls it. All you do is bring all your hair to one side (or split it in half and do pig tails!). Then you put your first clear elastic like you’d do with a normal low side pony. To get the pull through part, you take the section above your elastic and split it in two making a hole in the center, and then you flip the rest of your pony through the hole! Does that make sense? My mom used to do this to my pony tails as a kid! You do one part at a time, so I have three clear elastics in my hair and three pull through braid sections. before I pull through the hair, I wrap a small section around the elastics to hide them.

EEK! Let me know if that doesn’t make sense and I can explain more on my insta stories or something!

I hope you all have a great rest of your week!!

See you next time!
